Established in March, 2008, Ella's Wood Burning Oven Restaurant is an upscale-casual, from-scratch kitchen, focusing on Old-World cooking at its finest – elegant in its simplicity.
Offering a wide variety of rustic European inspired dishes, our menu flows with the change of seasons and availability of the freshest ingredients from local New England farms and waters. We feature a large variety of freshly prepared food, most in full view of our guests.
We invite you to join us!
The kitchen is headed by Executive Chef/Owner, Marc Swierkowski.
His passion for food began at an early age when he would help his mother prepare traditional dishes from her homeland, Poland.
Chef Marc studied at the elite Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park New York where he perfected his culinary talents. Amongst many of his accomplishments, Marc has worked for the esteemed chef Michael Mina in San Fransisco at restaurant Aqua and trained directly with Master Chef Urgen Koch in Weikersheim, Germany.
In 2004, Marc relocated to Massachusetts to head the kitchen at the acclaimed Crane Brook Restaurant and Tea Room in Carver. Over the course of the next 4 years, Marc developed relationships with local farms and purveyors, honed his skills and focused his talents. In 2008, together with his wife, Bree, Marc opened Ella’s Woodburning Oven Restaurant (named after their daughter)
